Product Information

Components

All plaques are made in Australia, most plaque components, badges and buckles
are made in house and are hand cast by us in white metal. This ensures
that the highest quality possible can be met. All other components are
made within the local Brisbane area even down to the cardboard boxes our
plaques are supplied in. All metal plaque badges are securely attached to back boards by the way of steel pins cast into the badge itself, we do not glue or double sided tape them on, some movement or visible gap behind the badge is usual, this allows easy removal of badge if the timber backing needs to be replaced or to refit to another product, they have to be mechanically removed and will not fall off.

Paint Finishes

All of our products that have a colour applied to them are painted by
hand and we use only the best current lead free enamel paint finishes.

Metal Finishes

Our metal products can be finished in a range of ways to suit either
quality or budget. Our highest quality finishes are all electroplate
finishes which consist of – Chrome or Copper Bronze. Other finishes
include paint, which is a slightly cheaper alternative to plating and
this also gives you the option to finish a product in any colour you may
desire. We can also supply raw polished pewter or a chemically aged
patina to the pewter which gives an aged dark smoky colour to the
finished product.

Timber Products

We offer an extensive range of plaque shapes and sizes, however we can
custom make any shape and size to your requirements. Timber colours we
offer are Black, Rosewood and Light Walnut with Rosewood being by far
the most popular. All of our timber products unless otherwise stated are
finished in a Lacquer.

your engraving needs as you will find our pricing extremely competitive.

Commissioning a New Design

Please call us if you are thinking of having a new plaque designed. Here
are a few of the things that you may need to consider to get the design
process underway. The first thing is some drawings or artwork, even hand
drawn on a piece of A4 can be enough to start with. Preferably a vector
graphic in Corel Draw or an EPS file is ideal however PDF or JPEG will
also suffice. The second item is a finished size of your plaque and
fittings and thirdly as usual it always comes down to money so if you
have a budget to work to please let us know so we can try to use the
appropriate finishes to help meet it for you.
